Freeware For Faire Pass Photo Adjusting
Some folks may have noticed their fair pass picture was "squished" - this is because the office needs a square picture.
It's probably too late for this year but I wrote a quick program which you're welcome to use to edit your picture so your fair pass image will be correct for next year.
This tool is written and maintained soley by me (Tananda Densmore) as a private individual and not on behalf of Regel Grove/ MDRF, my eployer at faire or in the outside world. It is provided as-is without any warantee etc.. feel free to use it. If you found it useful, feel free to tip your local rose seller.
Usage:
- Download the zip here
- Unzip the file
- use Windows Explorer to open the RGPhotoHammer folder and double click the shortcut
- use the program to either select your scanner and scan in an image (Under TWAIN->Scan Photo, or use File -> Open
- Use the Edit -> Select Area tool to select an area of the phot - NOTE how it only lets you make a square area - this is intended
- You can resize or position until you are happy
- Once you are happy with the crop you can go to Edit -> Crop
- Now, go to File -> Save As and save the image out (DO NOT overwrite your existing image)
- NOTE: it will warn you if your image is smaller than 500 x 500 or so - but will let you save. It will NOT let you save if the imaqge is not square
- Once done you can open another photo or File -> Exit
